Pistachio Pier
a new play in development by George Pfirrmann

1960 somewhere in New Jersey, two teenage boys, one black, one white, find themselves on the same pier with their fishing poles, trying to get away from the world.
They spar, banter, unlock pain, find friendship in this unlikely place.

“Bunch of crazy people running this thing. The riggers, the wires, even the front yard people, that’s the real freak show.   All that stuff about people running away with the circus, it’s all true.  Everybody running away from something.  Or somebody.” (Phinny)
